Dental Insurance

We accept most dental insurances, whether we are considered in or out of network with your plan.  Please contact us at 503-636-2300 to verify if our office is a participating provider for your dental insurance.
.
Most plans allow you to choose the Dental provider of your choice and as a Delta Premier Provider, our fees are approved by Delta/ODS and are generally on par with other insurance plan fee schedules.  If you must see a specific Preferred Provider, your insurance may not pay the same amount if you see an outside provider.  Please verify with your insurance whether you are restricted to in-network providers only!
“What is Dental Insurance?”

Dental Insurance is actually a contract between your employer and the insurance company to partially pay for certain services.  It exists as a benefit to help in covering some of the cost of dental care;  it was never intended to cover all costs of care!
There are deductibles and copays,  with some services covered at 50%, 80% or 100% and others not covered at all.  The type of insurance your employer offers is determined by the premium paid – they are able to select and offer as many benefits as they want.
Here are some key points to consider when trying to maximize your insurance:

  • Be Proactive – Contact your provider to verify your eligibility and coverages.
  • Team work – please keep us updated on changes in your insurance, provider or coverage.  Help ensure we have all necessary information to submit claims on your behalf and minimize errors.
  • As a courtesy to our patients, we are happy to assist you in billing your insurance company.   The portion not covered by insurance is your responsibility.
  • Know your plan to avoid surprises – it is important to understand what portion your insurance will cover  and make plans for the portion that is your responsibility.
